Kindergarten at All-Star Kids
We’re proud to offer a government-approved, integrated Kindergarten program that delivers the same educational intent and structure as traditional sessional kindergarten programs—with the added benefits of extended hours and continuity of care.
Led by our passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher, Melly, our Kindergarten program runs from 9:00am to 2:00pm each day and is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). The program focuses on intentional, play-based learning that supports each child’s social, emotional, and academic development in preparation for school.
Before and after the core Kindergarten session, children remain in our full-day program where learning continues through hands-on exploration, guided play, and meaningful interactions with early childhood professionals.

Govt. Funded Free Kinder
The Free Kinder Victoria program provides kindergarten funding to all 3- and 4-year-old children, ensuring that families can access high-quality learning opportunities at a reduced cost.
The Victorian Government funding provides families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week or 600 hours per year, in addition to the Australian Government Childcare Subsidy.
The Free Kinder subsidy provides an offset of up to $2,101 per child for the year. This helps cover any out-of-pocket costs associated with attending an integrated kindergarten program.
To be eligible, children must attend a minimum of three days per week, to make up the minimum 15 hours of funded Kinder.
You will continue to receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS) on the full-day fee of $155, and the Free Kinder offset (approx. $42/week) will be deducted from your gap fees—significantly reducing your overall costs.

Why Choose Kinder at All-Star Kids
At All-Star Kids, your child will experience the same rich, structured learning offered by sessional services—plus the flexibility, extended hours, and personalised care of an integrated long day model.
Excursions That Bring Learning to Life
Our kindergarten children regularly head out on purposeful excursions that connect directly to our fortnightly dramatic play themes. Whether it’s exploring the aisles at Coles, visiting the nursing labs at Deakin University, or spotting animals at Werribee Zoo, these experiences turn play into real-world learning—deepening understanding, building confidence, and creating strong community connections. It’s a standout part of our program that few kindergartens offer, and one our children absolutely love!
A Nurturing, Personalised Learning Environment
With just 25 funded kindergarten places, our small group size allows children to thrive in a calm, connected setting. Educators build strong, meaningful relationships with every child, tailoring experiences to their individual interests and needs. It’s a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, seen, and supported to grow. Our dramatic play and learning themes change fortnightly—guided by the children’s interests—bringing variety, excitement, and a sense of wonder to our space.

In my kinder room, I promote an environment that is inclusive of all children and their needs. Encouraging all children to participate in a meaningful program which is planned for each child’s goals, stage of development and interests. Children’s agency is an important part of my teaching philosophy, I offer the children many choices throughout each day.
My kinder room will support and encourage the children to try new experiences in a fun learning environment. I have high expectations for all the children I teach. The children’s voices are the key to planning meaningful experiences in the kinder room. I believe that the expectation of success is a powerful motivator for the children. I encourage a collaborative partnership with an open-door policy with families. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions regarding your child. I look forward to a year of fun learning with your children.
